In this weird new normal so many of our casual comforts are harder to come by, our traditions and summer expectations warped or cancelled all together. But friends, it is so clear that thankfully, mercifully, a few things really don’t change no matter what is happening in the world. The sun shining through a green canopy is gorgeous. Baby toes and tiny shoes are adorable. A one year old’s wobbly, hopeful steps are frightening and wonderful all at once. These things are still true, still a little bit miraculous, still heart-warming to photograph. Thank you to big sister Lucia and little sister Sierra for showing me that during our belated 1 year session for Sierra this June.
