Kirsten & Nick planned a big summer wedding for 2020, full of local friends and family from as far as New Zealand, but well, 2020. The guest list got set aside and the first dance put on hold. I am certain many tears were shed and fears revealed. And yet, something sweet and lovely, and maybe even a little magical happened on their original wedding date: Kirsten & Nick became a family. Surrounded and lifted up in laughter & joy, Kirsten toasted her best girls and donned her gorgeous gown; Nick was able to prep for the day with his parents and twin brother. As one of only a few weddings to go forward this summer at St Hedwig’s Three Holy Women Parish, they enjoyed an intimate mass that felt particularly poignant and dedicated to them. And then, well, then they celebrated. They celebrated life and love, friendship and family. They celebrated today’s promises and they celebrated in anticipation of next year’s party. They celebrated the little things like their shared love of the Bucks and the big things like finding a soul mate. They celebrated each other and the life they have already lived, but most importantly the life they plan to build together.
