Ben, Evie & Margie Play in the Leaves with Mom & Dad | Tosa Family Session

Something you probably wouldn’t believe about me is that I am a bit of a fall leaf curmudgeon. For many years I have pretty much avoided fall family sessions because I just didn’t want to chase leaves – I wanted to chase light and love and fun. But this 2021 leaf season has turned my heart around and it may have been this family that specifically sealed the fall leaf love deal for me. Although I have photographed Ben and Evie and Margie and of course, their mom & dad many times, every time it feels like a new adventure. And this time many of my go-to tricks just sort of failed to do their magic, but then I just let go. And instead, I let the leave do all the work. And friends, the result was pure joy.
