Colleen & Colin have style to spare, as evidenced by their gorgeous engagement session and their show stopping wedding day at the historic Pfister Hotel. We loved the over the top train on Colleen’s dress because, really, can a beaded lace confection like this dress ever be over the top? Nah, we don’t think so. Colin and all of his best guys were truly dapper, Colin especially so in his midnight blue tux. But lest you think the day was only about style let me reassure you that Colleen & Colin brought the substance, too. Colleen shared an emotional first look with her dad on the stairs of the hotel, her mother looking on and joining in for a good (happy) cry, too. From there she walked down the aisle to a string quartet and the Imperial Ballroom sparkled with candlelight and that particular kind of shimmer that love leaves in its wake. Colin was a bit awestruck at his first sight of Colleen and reveled in holding her close all day. We loved their trolley backed champagne pop with their bridal party and their surprise grand entrance from the ballroom balcony. We loved the anecdotes and friendship offered to them in toast form by their nearest & dearest. We loved the 90s playlist Colin crafted for his friends to enjoy on the dance floor and we loved witnessing their love transform them into a family of their own. Cheers to family and cheers to love ~
