Isla Ruth is One | Tosa At Home Family Session & Painting Party

During her 1 year photo session Isla Ruth was mostly straight faced, clearly trying to figure it all out. But when her squinty-eyed, brilliant, mostly toothless smile came out, man oh man, did it Come Out. Her big sis is a pro at drawing out that smile and a toss in the air from daddy will make it happen. And, of course, some sweet cuddles and mama-based loving seems to work, too. This winter baby didn’t get the benefit of a sun-filled outdoor session, but her courageous and clearly very fun parents made up for that with an indoor painting party and Isla was in it to win it. It was a joy to capture her exploring the paint and where it might be placed. Sister Emerson guided her and together they made their own birthday masterpiece. It was delightful and all around heart meltingly sweet – just like Isla Ruth.
