Being a photographer in Milwaukee has a kind of rhythm to it as longer sunny days mean more weddings and people eager to capture life’s most lovable moments and shorter winter days mean its time to kick the hygge in high gear. The first weekend in November is my own personal marker as to when it is officially time for sanctioned hiding out by a fireplace as it historically means the end of wedding high season in the Midwest. It also seems to be the most gloriously lovely fall weekend of all the fall weekends when everyone expects it to be snowing and in fact, the sun is out, the sky is blue and that classic crisp air makes a little shoulder wrap all the more beautiful. That history-based prediction proved true once again this year when Jackie & Ron invited us to come along on their sweetest of November wedding days. But in all truth it wasn’t just the perfect weather that made their wedding a cherished experience for us; indeed, it was the fact that Ron and Jackie are two humans I want to be real life friends with and if possible I would request that they become my neighbors. Ron is madly, deeply, heart-on-his-custom-made-sleeve in love with Jackie and Ron is absolutely Her Person. To top it off, all – and I mean ALL – of their friends and family adore them and are rooting for them and thus the recipe for what I am now calling The Perfect Way To Spend A November Saturday, otherwise known as Jackie & Ron’s wedding. I invite you to jump into this one asap, it’s so sweet you’ll wish they were your neighbors, too.
