Colleen and Jake are starting a new adventure together. They aren’t just engaged and planning a wedding, which can be pretty adventurous in itself  – they are also starting a new life in a new city out east where Jake found the perfect job for him and {fingers crossed} they’ll find an equally perfect job for Colleen. With an impending move on their minds Colleen & Jake wanted to spend their engagement session (and really just a lovely morning together) in their adopted home state of Wisconsin before the boxes are all packed and the moving truck heads east. I meet a lot of couples who are moving or have just moved and often there is a sense of nervousness about the unknown when they talk about what is next. But Colleen & Jake exude something totally different – when they talk about the unknowable future they are calm, reassuring and reassured, totally confident that it will all be as it is supposed to be in the end. That’s the kind of confidence that really only comes from loving and being loved and understanding that the best part of happiness is time with our best friend and the love of our life.
