Erin & Mitch’s April wedding day was the kind of day that keeps me excited about wedding photography. They were married at the Milwaukee Art Museum under the soaring white ribbed skylights of Windhover Hall by the engaging and hilarious Judge Moseley. Erin was walked down the aisle to meet Mitch by her adoring dad while “the moms” tearfully, joyfully looked on. Mitch’s dad, so recently passed from their lives, was everywhere in spirit – he was there when Mitch’s mom pinned him with a traditional Scotch family kilt pin; he was there when Mitch’s sister blessed the wedding rings and when his uncle offered a welcome and prayer. He was there when Mitch’s best man stood by his side all day and all night, offering laughter, support and happiness for his big brother. He was there.
He was there along with a lovely and festive group of friends and family who blessed Erin & Mitch, each in their own way – with champagne or at the bourbon bar, by dancing in their honor, by simply being present to say congratulations, we love you.
