Some wedding days stick with us a little longer – whether because the couple was particularly sweet, or because a beloved grandfather was abundantly present, or because the band was really, really good, or because the toasts revealed things wonderful and cherished about the couple, or sometimes, I’ll sheepishly admit, we just fall in love with a dress. Lauren & Ben’s wedding day stuck with me because all of these things happened on the same day. They were married under the soaring vault at the Basilica of St. Josaphat and then celebrated at the equally iconic Milwaukee Art Museum, both epicly lovely buildings that so fascinatingly contrast with one another that I couldn’t help but marvel at the history of architecture on parade all day. And in between all the sheer prettiness there was love – so much love and laughter and best wishes, tears and genuine hope for these two that any sane person within 100 feet of the whole thing could tell that this was a very good day. And from me to them and from all those present to them: Lauren & Ben ~ May you have a lifetime of very good days.
