Megan and Alec’s summer wedding day at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church & Turner Hall was by turns emotional and sweet, uproariously fun and full of champagne, intimate but inclusive, and ultimately, really, really wonderful. We loved the little details Megan and Alex chose to incorporate – some family traditions and some Greek traditions, and some a combination of both. With coins in their shoes and good luck charms pinned to her dress, my favorite part of the day was when Megan and Alec met to exchange their vows privately. There are no bride & groom vows during the Greek Orthodox ceremony but it was important to them that they share a spoken commitment to one another on their wedding day. And so, around the corner from all of their giddy, waiting friends Megan & Alec saw each other for the first time on August 18th, read letters to on another, cried a little and then held one another close. From there they were rarely not holding hands and surrounded by their best friends & adoring parents they lived the best day of their lives. I mean really, isn’t true love the best gift in life?
