Discovery World Indian Wedding Reception | Joban & Sarath | Part II

One of our favorite parts about Indian weddings is the near total day to night transformation that takes place. Joban and Sarath had tied the knot under sunny skies mixed with tiny moments of snow, Sarath walking barefoot on the Discovery World docks to enjoy the last moments of their wedding ceremony – his shoes still hidden somewhere inside. But as the sun set over Lake Michigan Joban & Sarath returned to Discovery World and the reds and pinks so brilliantly marking their day turned to deep blues and gold for night. We loved the spirit with which their guests and family addressed them, offering kind words about their passion for medicine, their capacity for friendship, their deep love and commitment to family. And oh how they performed for them, too! The dance floor was full all night from Bollywood inspired dance routines featuring sometimes a couple, and sometimes many pair of dancers, and sometimes, Joban herself. Joban and Sarath, thank you for inviting us into your wedding plans and your life. Cheers to love and laughter, great food and happiness so full you can’t help but dance; Cheers to Joban and Sarath ~
