Timeless. Lovely. Classic.
These words keep rolling over in my head every time I think about Rebecca & Jeff’s Milwaukee Art Museum wedding this past May. From what they wore, to where they celebrated, and all through the experience they created for their guests and extensive families, everything about the wedding weekend was exactly this: Timeless, lovely & classic. I loved the modern gown Rebecca wore, architectural in it’s simplicity and the perfect pairing to Jeff’s custom classic tux, even when he traded his ceremony jacket for something just edging into “more fun” with its deep blue color. They brought a bit of sparkle and a lot of champagne to the Art Museum, filling Windhover Hall with the danceable sounds of not only North Coast Orchestra, but the talents of their groomsmen – one playing both blues guitar and drums with the band and another breaking open hearts with his reading-turned-rendition of Mirrors by Justin Timberlake. But really the story of Rebecca and Jeff can’t be told without this detail: on their wedding day Rebecca & Jeff were Together, drinking in the sight of each other, holding hands, wrapped up in each other literally and figuratively, no matter what was happening there was really just the two of them. And that, right there, that bodes well for the future.
