Laura & Matt have a reputation in their world. A reputation for always surprising everyone and always staying true to themselves. For being fun and a little bawdy, for being beautiful, inside & out. For taking risks and for being the best friends a person could want in this life. Indeed, Laura & Matt have a reputation. For being awesome. And their wedding was exactly as everyone thought it would be – surprising, true, fun, bawdy, beautiful, risky, awesome. See what I did there? Laura is a photographer and we heard once, twice, ten times on her wedding day what a hard task it must have been to choose her own photographer and we were totally honored to be her (and his) choice to capture their wedding at the Paine Art Center, a gorgeously elegant, totally timeless, beyond lovely place to say I Do. Their guests largely made the trip from southeastern Wisconsin on the Thursday of Labor Day weekend and upon setting foot on the grounds everyone immediately understood why Laura & Matt had chosen the location. We heard that Laura glitter bombed the invites so we knew these two really value F U N, but we were really struck with how well they mixed their love of a good party with an atmosphere of classic wedding refinement. From their two first looks (see below to get that one) to their outdoor ceremony filled with personal love stories dedicated to their parents and on to the heartfelt toasts as their reception, the whole day & night was perfectly suited to them. So grab a glass of bubbly and someone you love dearly to dive into this amazing love story kind of day. It’s one to savor.
