Starting this blog post has proved to be an incredible challenge for me this week. I start to type and then the words fall flat, they aren’t dynamic enough, graceful enough. They aren’t ripe with joy and anticipation, they aren’t appreciative enough. They don’t express the awe I feel when I look at the images my team and I made for Harriette & Tommy’s wedding. Do I start with talking about how truly kind and beautiful the couple is or do I start with praising the vendor team that pulled off a stunningly beautiful day for us to photograph? Which is most revealing, the way the light shined on Harriette & Tommy at the altar of St. Robert’s or the way they exited the church with fist pumps and wild grins? Do I tell stories about the gravity defying floral chandelier and thousands of candles that lit their tent on the exceptionally manicured grounds of Milwaukee Country Club? Or do I just write that a picture truly is worth a thousand words and really, we all just need to skip to the images? I suppose I’ve done it now, written a bunch of questions for which the only answers are the photos. So I invite you to take a breath, take a seat, slow your scroll, and walk your mind and heart into this most joyful, delightful, graciously designed day for Harriette & Tommy.
