Whitney & Andrew | Westmoor Country Club Wedding

Whitney & Andrew’s wedding was a little bit like shooting a family affair for me. By the time their sunny, gorgeous wedding day rolled around I had come to know not only Whitney & Andrew but also her mom and sister through coffee meet-ups and luncheons at Westmoor. I was super pregnant on their wedding day and well-prepared with water and snacks, plus a dedicated assistant and Ellen to second shoot but still each and every member of Whitney and Andrew’s families must have offered me a helping hand, a bottle of water or simply a kind word at some point in the day. They welcomed us and made our jobs easy, not to mention fun and fulfilling.

Whitney & Andrew opted for a private first look at their church and lots of public smiles and champagne toasts for after the ceremony. They wanted to do the things that make them happy so they hit a few balls at Westmoor and chatted with friends by the club pool, redefining the places that Whitney and her sister had grown up loving as they played in the happy shadow of their parents. They surrounded themselves with family members and long held friends, all soooo well-accomplished and kind  that I wondered more than once how all these wonderful people could possibly be assembled in one place. And the only answer I could come up with is that Whitney & Andrew are pretty wonderful themselves. The toasts by their best man and maid of honor proved that to be true as they declared Whitney and Andrew to be smart and kind, generous and humble, the kind of people you want in your corner. I know I always write great things about my couples, but seriously, if I write it it’s true. Smart. Kind. Generous. Humble.
