I met Kate when she was new to Milwaukee, a college student finding her way in the world and willing to nanny my (numerous) children on weekly date nights. She was bold and kind, inquisitive and fun, a young woman open to life and love. My acquaintance with Andrew is much newer in the timeline. He met Kate online and they found they matched heart soul fairly quickly, but the process of introducing the love of one’s life to all your people takes time. Over facetime chats during the pandemic and through their engagement session I found Andrew to be sincere and caring, the kind of beau who is always up for a game of cribbage at Vendetta or a cozy night in with their cat Freddie. He offers his hand to Kate at every turn and teared up when he first saw her on their wedding day. They are one another’s North Star, the brightest points in each other’s life, the planet they will both gladly orbit for all eternity. Their wedding was intimate and lovingly curated to include their favorite people, music, desserts, and saying: Love You To The Moon & Back. They had conversations with guests and fed each other macaroons. They played in the wind and showed off their admirable style. They were married and it was perfect.
