I met Wyatt and his parents on a brilliant day in late May just after’s Wyatt’s first birthday.  Wyatt didn’t have many words to share, but he was quick with smiles, attempts to walk and hands-on playtime. He’s a lucky little guy who one day will reap the benefit of his daddy’s passion for classic cars, mostly hot rods. And not just in a I’ll get to take my date to the prom in a cool car kind of way, but in a my dad has a restored Camaro waiting for me when I grow up kind of way. His mama and I started out our session at home with cake and balloons and all Wyatt’s fantastic toys (how many kids get to play with real replica toy cars made of metal and rubber and perfectly detailed?) Wyatt had celebrated with cake a few times already so he knew what a treat he was getting when his mama set a little polka dot mini-cake in front of him and I could only laugh as he dug in deep and sucked his fingers happily to get all the yummy frosting into his belly. And then we went to where the real cars live at his daddy’s shop. You see, Wyatt is growing up with the real possibility of going into the family business – restoring cars with his dad, his granddad and even an uncle or two. Like, I said, Wyatt is a lucky little guy.
