Namrata & Deep | Discovery World Indian Wedding Ceremony& Barat

One of our favorite parts of Indian wedding weekends is starting early with both the bride and groom on the wedding day. It is such a privilege to capture the moments when the bride is veiled and the groom sets off on his barat. For Namrata and Deep both of these morning experiences were beautiful, memorable affairs where both were surrounded by family and by tradition and so very much by Love. Deep’s boat ride barat was the perfect way to show his guests our beloved city of Milwaukee, arriving at Discovery World in full sun on the most perfect of midwestern summer days. We loved how Namrata’s family and friends so enthusiastically greeted Deep’s, pulling him in both spirit and affection to the Mandap where the two of them would exchange garlands and take the first steps of marriage together. We expected a colorful day and happy people but what we experienced was a riotous celebration of unabashed JOY. And to think, this was just the first half of the day!
