Janine & Ross’s Wisconsin wedding brought out all the feels plus a fair bit of nostalgia and home town love. They live in Chicago and a fair number of their guests traveled from far and wide to join them on a piece of land that is not just miles, but lifetimes away from Janine & Ross’s current everyday. That land is rooted in Janine’s heart and the house & barn that sit on it were exactly the backdrop she wanted to share with the people who mean the most to her. Janine grew up here and Ross was totally game for making sure their wedding was not only an expression of their love, but also a tribute to where they come from and how they were formed. So in grand Wisconsin style they hosted an elevated backyard bash that introduced many of their people to some of our favorite Wisconsin supper club traditions like relish trays before dinner, all the dip-able cheese you can handle, gorgeous and overflowing craft charcuterie boards and oh yes, Spotted Cow & Old Fashioneds. They danced in the rain and invited their beloved Murphy-the-pup to walk down the aisle. They walked the wildflower-filled property and made sure Prosecco was always at hand. They celebrated the families they were born into and the families they choose. They said I Do and created their own family. Cheers!
