Milwaukee Wisconsin Wedding & Family Photographer

Riley & Matthew are pretty much adorable. They showed up to our engagement session and insisted they were nervous and not sure what to do and then they proceeded to play and generally make merry to wonderful effect in front of my camera. No direction needed, just a reminder on occasion that yep, it’s okay to go in the water, yes I want to see the inside of his custom suit jacket and, yes, of course you can snuggle up more. With warm smiles and easy laughter, they are best friends with a meet cute that involves nearly matching profile pictures of each of them in England and an assertive Riley making it the perfect jumping off point for getting to know one another. Fast forward to now and they are planning a wedding and their life and are so ready to take the next steps together, hand in hand, forever.

Molly & Taiga met in Seattle but they celebrated their gorgeous and oh-so-colorful-summer wedding at Molly’s family home in Wisconsin. But before they danced the night away under a sail cloth tent and toasted their love with family & friends they said I Do at Saint Monica’s, completing their modern, joyful day with a sweet dose of tradition. Molly’s mom had tied a rosary in a tree to keep the rain away and her plan must have worked because it was warm, blue sky day and a perfect Wisco evening for all of the local family and friends, plus the many guests from out of state. We loved the heavy rotation of floral motifs (even on Molly’s dress) and the use of so many different florals, fun patterns and textures (hello rattan!) to create a a truly romantic and lovely space to celebrate these two and the life they are starting together. So cheers to the return of color to weddings and most importantly, cheers to Molly & Taiga!
