Newborn Mickey | Wisconsin Newborn At Home Photography

Newborn Mickey (Mikhail Steven officially, but already rockin’ the nickname) is a tiny babe, very content to snuggle with mom or dad. He’s attended by a fur brother who is sweet, if a little excitable, and totally jazzed about all the new dog, er, baby toys that have recently come home. And what a loving home Mickey’s promises to be. I met mom & dad when I photographed them over the course of pandemic wedding planning and our relationship extended over more than than the usual planning period as they moved their date from summer to fall. In that time I felt lucky to call them clients and hopeful that I might get to call them friends one day because they are so very kind, warm, joyful and all around awesome. When they asked me to photograph their newborn at home it was an easy yes and meeting Mickey was everything I hoped it would be. Welcome to the world Mikhail Steven, you picked a good family to join!

Elena & Neil | Greek Wedding at St James 1868, Marquette and Grain Exchange

Elena & Neil’s wedding day was incredible. As in: hard to believe. I was there and I’m sitting here looking at the images I was a part of making for them and I still wonder: Was it real? Was it really that fun? That joyful, that hilarious, that sweet, that touching, that FULL of love? The short answer is Yes. It really was all of those things and so much more because every part of Elena and Neil’s wedding was designed to share their story, their humor, their particular brand of awesomeness with all of their favorite people. They are both the type to give a lot of themselves away in their everyday lives, the kind of people who help others first and ask questions later. They are on the unassuming side, people who try to blend in but make a big impact through their kindness and their gifts. They are inclusive and warm and very much one another’s favorite person. And so it felt very fitting that these two were gifted such an amazing day by their families who surrounded them with tradition and care, who insisted that everything be just right because these two would never ask for anything which means they deserve everything and more. In this case Everything meant gorgeous surrounds and florals, meaningful toasts and details, lots and lots of music, and of course, all the Greek traditions of Elena’s family. Friend, it was a Party. A giant, happy, amazing, totally incredible Party. See for yourself:
