Ambrose | Wisconsin Natural Light Newborn Photography

Sarah & David are romantics. They love books and cozy evenings in, crochet projects and time spent reveling in the sweet deliciousness of family. They are warm hearted, big smilers, and all around great parents, too. I first met them a few years ago when they were planning their Milwaukee wedding and they surprised us with their combined epic sweetness. He proposed at his family lake house, which is also where she dressed for their wedding and then where I met them again to meet their first born daughter Lucy. So my delight was real and deep when they invited me back to meet their newest family addition: Ambrose. As I photographed them in lovingly crocheted-by-dad-and-mom blankets & clothes, something about it also being Christmas time filled my heart with gladness. In what I think of as the most hopeful season for Christians I was struck by the delicate skin of Ambrose, his newborn fragility, his very humanity, the unlikely miracle of life and how a baby can remind us of bigger things. Ambrose may be little but on this day his very presence is a reminder to cherish connections with other people, to take care of each other, to value a snuggle, a lullaby, a deep breath. Welcome to this world Ambrose, you are loved ~

Newborn Kinsley | Milwaukee Natural Light Family Photography

natural light newborn photography at home in wisconsin

Sometimes style & substance and an immense heart can all be found in the same home. Lucky little newborn Kinsley Marie will eventually know this to be true as she has oh-so-recently joined a lovely little family that proves my hypothesis true. Kinsley is a tiny babe, quintessentially adorable and emphatically loved by big sister Mallory and, of course, her mama and daddy who welcomed her home this Christmas season. I photographed big sis Mallory a few years ago when she made this family a family and she welcomed me back with big smiles and lots of silly fun to photograph Kinsley. I anticipate that together they will be a force to be reckoned with – two strong, spunky littles growing up together in an enviously warm home and family.

SO: as we ring in a new year and wish for all the best in our world I offer this sweet picture of innocence – may your 2019 be filled with inspiration, warmth, and the kind of hope that a newborn commands we all imagine together. Welcome 2019. Welcome Kinsley Marie.
