Milwaukee Wisconsin Wedding & Family Photographer

Teagan & Joe were married on the most beautiful October day. They started the festivities together (but apart) at the iconic Wisconsin Club, dressing on different floors of the beautiful century old building. Their first look was perfectly sweet and emotional, the ideal way to kick off their day hand in hand. Their marriage sacrament was completed at Church of the Gesu and their celebration was a family and friend-filled affair in the Club’s gorgeous barrel vaulted dining room, an incredible place to laugh and reminisce, to dance and make new memories. Joe’s Slovenian family heritage was front and center during the day with his traditional red carnation bout and we loved how their two families (one all boys and one all girls) fully embraced one another all day to make sure that Teagan and Joe felt the full force of their families’ love. It was a party and a day to pray, a beginning and a continuation, and all in all, and amazing day for two amazing people.

One of the absolute best parts about being a photographer at weddings is that we get to see – and BE – inside the private lives of families and couples and individuals. We see people at their happiest, but also people at their most nervous, people literally in their robes, guys who forgot how to tie a tie, moms & dads who can barely keep it together emotionally, we see it all. And that, my friends, is an amazing Honor. Or maybe it is a Privilege. Very likely it is both. It was definitely both at Mel & Nate’s September wedding at the Cathedral and their rockin’ good time of a reception at the Historic Pritzlaff. They were ever-smiling, always laughing, totally emotionally available and completely IN the moment all day which meant that everyone around them was, as well. Everyone including their photographers. So, as we move towards wrapping up our 2023 season I am moved to just say: Thank you Mel & Nate for inviting us inside your inner circle of awesome family & friends for a day. It was an honor and a privilege.
