Hilarie & Andy’s wedding day at Whistling Straits was the stuff dreams are made of. It was a romantic day with perfect weather and a gorgeous couple, abundant love and details to make this photographer’s heart sing. An all-white-with-pop-of-blue palette highlighted the lakeside landscape and Hilarie & Andy surrounded themselves with their favorite people. Those people – sister, brother, cousin, all the parents and grandparents – everyone – was there with joy in their hearts and smiles on their lips, happy to celebrate Hilarie & Andy and their journey thus far. But really every wedding is about where a couple wants to go, not just about where they’ve been. Rachel & Max were married at Timmer’s Resort, an old school Supper Club on Wisconsin’s Big Cedar Lake. A beloved gem of a spot, Timmer’s serves Old Fashioned’s and hosts families in their cottages as well as having the perfect lakeside lawn for Rachel & Max’s romantic outdoor ceremony & tented reception. Their families were totally up for their lake wedding, too, spending the weekend spotting the eagles that nest nearby and playing in and on the water. Rachel & Max are outdoorsy people so spending a portion of their wedding day on a pier was a treat for them as they did their first look on one and then watched the sunset over the lake from a similar spot later in the evening. Along the way they enjoyed hosting their guests who played lawn games and reveled in the perfect summer weather and Rachel & Max steeped themselves in the exquisite loveliness of the day. Their style was on full display as a host of talented vendors transformed Timmer’s lawn into a green oasis that was 1 part tropical, 1 part vintage and all romantic. SO let your hair down and muddle that Old Fashioned because it’s time to drink in all the perfection of Rachel & Max’s summer wedding day.
