Erin & David’s wedding weekend at The Island was a literal dream come true for both of them. Erin’s family has deep roots in this part of Wisconsin where lake weekends mean family time so when she invited David to discover her family’s sweet little Kansasville world they both knew it was something special. And everything – literally everything – about their wedding was the kind of special that grows out of recognizing how ordinary spaces and places become extraordinary when we imbue them with meaning and experiences. They both dressed at family homes and they saw each other for the first time in a neighbor’s backyard. They rode golf carts and walked on the pier; they said I Do at her grandparent’s church and hosted all their friends & family + all the Island residents under a tent posted up on the big shared lawn of the Island. It was familiar to them but also incredibly lovely and life changing to be exactly where you want to be with exactly all the right people saying yes to forever with the exact right soul mate.
