Ali & Quan were a little surprised when we agreed to a morning session and I followed that up with “Great! see you at 6 am!” While 6 am may have seemed a little early in the prep stage, when they met me on the sands of North Avenue beach it was clear that it was the perfect time to make some magic together. Accompanied by their adorable and incredibly well-behaved dog Link, Ali & Quan made the most of one of this summer’s curious, but incredibly lovely wildfire sunrises. With the city aglow in the warm sunshine Ali & Quan reminisced about how they met and how they’ve grown together over the last few years. They played with Link and let him lead the way along the water. They talked about how much they are looking forward to a wedding day full of family from parts near and far, and about how they can’t wait to celebrate the start of their forever in the cozy brick confines of Cafe Brauer this winter. So cheers to love and puppies, skyline views and happily ever afters

Maura & Eric have a true Marquette Love Story many years in the making. They both attended the beloved Jesuit University just like their parents but they never crossed paths on campus. It took a dating app to bring them to the same place at the same time but almost literally from the moment they did meet it has been just the two of them all the way. I could list a dozen adorable, sweet facts about them but I’ll go with my favorite for this little blog post: since the beginning of their Us they’ve written to one another. Cards every month, notes on scraps of paper wishing one another a good day, long, detailed impressions of dates and future plans, so much written to one another, saved and cherished and then on their wedding day, gifted back to one another. Jewelry is a lovely wedding day gift, but darling give me love letters and keep me forever. And that is exactly what they intend to do: keep one another forever and ever. Amen.
