Newborn James | Wisconsin At Home Newborn Session

There’s something incredibly special about third babies. The first changes a new parent’s life, the second comes along and adds a joyful dose of chaos and the third, well that one might be just for snuggling. James is definitely on track to prove my theory correct as he is happiest in arms, but at the same time he is already paying attention to the sights and sounds around him. He is easily quieted by dad’s voice or mom’s eye contact and his siblings Lucy and Ambrose are keen to hold him, too. All three little ones have names that are mirrored by book characters beloved by their parents and we had a sweet part of the session where everyone got to be photographed with “their” book. So in this season that is all about the gift of a baby and the miracle of life we wish you Happy Holidays and days filled with books, family, cuddles and love in 2023.

Delanee & Andrew | Basilica and Hilton City Center Milwaukee Wedding

Delanee and Andrew had a remarkable wedding day. It was filled with sentimental family details and intentional choices, incredible music both traditional and fun, and every little thing was considered, curated and incorporated with style, love and joy. It all really starts and ends with their sacrament of marriage at the Basilica of St Josaphat’s where the beauty of the music felt like an offering in itself, the kind of choral and organ performance that gave everyone present chills. They exchanged heartfelt vows and rings, with Andrew’s being incredibly special as it once belonged to his Grandfather. Their mass was emotional, lovely, and a totally befitting start to their marriage. From there they floated down the grand steps of the basilica and out into a gorgeous fall day with their bridal party before joining the full host of their favorite people at another architectural and historic beauty: Milwaukee’s Hilton City Center. And from here all thoughts and hearts were on the idea of celebration as they were toasted and cheered by all present. They enjoyed the sunset together and they put on their dancing shoes (in Delanee’s case a literal event as she did a throwback number with her college dance teammates), they held each other close and they savored every second. Like I said, it was a remarkable day.
