Mary Kate & Austin were married on THE most beautiful Wisconsin summer day. With guests in town from around the country – many from the groom’s home state of Texas – Wisconsin seemed to be showing off with warm sun and cool breezes plus blue sky to match the bride’s eyes. Everything about the day is best described as classic, elegant, traditional, and, my favorite: lovely. Mary Kate & Austin were married in her home town parish by a priest she grew up with and he invited all those present to celebrate Mary Kate & Austin to also celebrate blessings. The blessings of God, yes, but also the blessings of strong families and strong friendships. The blessings of partnership and devotion to one another. From the touching homily to the non-stop dance party to the classic car getaway, everything about the wedding was perfect for Mary Kate and Austin and the joy they bring to the world. Saylor Joy is here. She’s cuddly and warm, with a full head of hair and all 10 fingers and all 10 toes. She’s perfect in every way and every one around her knows it. I visited her and her beloved fur sibling at home on a bright day that showered her room with soft sunlight and I witnessed the amazing and all encompassing love of her family, both immediate and just a little distant. On this day she would eventually be surrounded by multiple grandmothers, all gathering to meet her and fawn over her, but before that could happen we enjoyed some quiet, sleepy snuggles in her beautiful room. Saylor’s mom loves a good pink detail and I loved all of the feminine, light & airy wraps she chose to keep Saylor warm in. All in all it was a morning that reminded me of true love – the hope and joy of connecting with a new person to love, to care for and dote on. Welcome home Saylor Joy ~
