So many of our family sessions come to us because we already have a history with the new mom & dad through their engagement & wedding journey. But sometimes families just find us and they share their lives with us a bit blindly. They make a leap of faith that we’ll come to their home and capture this moment lovingly in just an hour two with very little context to knit the story together. Sara & Matt are the second kind of couple and I feel blessed that they took that leap of faith with me. They are open hearted and generous with their time and their gifts, the kind of parents who bake and grow plants and play music for and with their daughter Ruthie. They thanked me and fed me and told me their stories, but really it was me who should have thanked them because to be around them is to know love and to know what family means.
