Rachelle & Alec’s wedding was a whirlwind event marked by joy & tradition, where gorgeous light, style and venues played a supporting cast to Alec & Rachelle’s starring roles as deeply in love soul mates. Me writing that will probably bring a blush to both of their faces, but its just so very true: being around Rachelle & Alec is to be around love defined. Their kindness is constant and they pull those around them into a world where people are gracious, loving, erudite, and totally a good time. And that pretty much describes their wedding day, too. We were greeted by a bridal party who cared about our comfort and well-being, who spent the day supporting Rachelle & Alec and ensuring that everything not only went smoothly, it went by with laughter and love. We were impressed by their incredible families and traditions that ensured that these two were woven into their family and religious histories with observance and knowledge. And then we were treated to heartfelt toasts and sing-a-long toasts, a hora to remember and a dance party to dream about. It was, in every way we may take the measure of a wedding: perfect.

There are a few things we just have to write about Maddy & Zac that will basically make any stranger into a huge fan of these two. They love Milwaukee in a big way – it’s breweries, its architecture, its craftsmanship and the artisans that work here, and they wanted their long awaited wedding to reflect that. They love their families and their day was made all the better because of it, including a heap of love in the form of leg work by Maddy’s sister Grace who helped in all the ways, from vendors research to getting the dance party started at the reception. They are head over heels in love with each other, the reality of which kept hitting Zac throughout the wedding day as his emotions sweetly showed up in his eyes. They are, very simply, the kind of couple who designed the kind of wedding day we would happily shoot every weekend from now until forever, it was just that beautiful, emotional and utterly joyful. And in this week of Thanksgiving we are exactly that: full of thanks to these two and their people for inviting us to do good work for them. Happy Thanksgiving Maddy & Zac; we’re thankful for love stories like yours.
