Wedding pros in 2021 are thrilled to be back to celebrating love this year, but I can definitely say with some authority that they (we) are also incredibly busy in this 2-in-1 wedding season, thanks Covid. Torie & Tiara are both wedding and event pros and they’ve deftly managed not only the reschedules, but also a slew of almost unbelievably big changes: remaking their businesses to essentially make a new business, and then adding in a new house and best of all, a new baby. But juggling “it all” is what they do best and it was a total pleasure to meet up with them for a little afternoon mini session at home featuring big brother Julian, new brother Patrick and a yard full of gingko leaves. Julian giggled and played like a champ and Patrick snuggled; mom & dad were happy to have a few moments all together on a fall day. And oh yes, their fur babies made a sweet cameo at the the end. It’s good – no, GREAT – to be busy because that means life is full, but sometimes its even better to sit back and enjoy just being in the middle of all that you’ve built. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Ali & Justin have a sweet love story that has roots in their shared hometown. Okay, I would have to twist myself in knots to not write that these two are high school sweethearts. But they are and its totally sweet and totally romantic and totally the kind of fact that makes being around them a joy. They are kind and generous with their smiles & time and they surrounded themselves with the same sort of people on their classic Milwaukee wedding day. As one would expect from a wedding of two people who’ve been friends or more than friends for the better part of a decade, there was much talk of how Justin had seemingly always been a part of Ali’s family and Ali of Justin’s. But I have to say that it is pretty magical when the moment comes and the guy who was just always there officially becomes the guy who will always be there, when high school sweet heart turns into life long partner. Thank you Ali & Justin for choosing our studio to document that moment and all the moments of joy, nervousness, laughter, dancing, anticipation and great love on your wedding day ~
