Riley & Matthew | Carriage House at Lac Labelle Summer Wedding

Riley & Matthew planned a wedding day that proceeded with ease, full of love and contentment, a day that focused on relationships and time spent together. If there was a theme it was a simple one – greenery and goodness in abundance. They dressed onsite at their ceremony & reception venue, the luminous and lovely Carriage House at Lac Labelle. Surrounded by trees and grasses just coming into the full bloom of summer, they shared private wedding vows and then leapt into family and friend time with their whole hearts. We loved the special guest experiences they included like a custom coffee bar and the kind of DJ who truly mixes along with live musicians throughout the night. The food was tasty and the toasts were sweet, the sunset was magical and they danced for the first time on a literal cloud. Friends, it was a great day; See for yourself ~

Kate & Josh | Historic Pfister Hotel Wedding in May

Kate & Josh’s Pfister Hotel wedding was THE perfect blend of classic bridal style and lush modern detailing. Garden inspired flowers in brights reds and layered pinks softened the architecture of the Imperial Ballroom and lent an aire of vintage glam to every space and place Kate & Josh moved through on their day. We loved the playful keepsakes and nods to their lives together and of course, their unwavering focus on guest experience from the emotional ceremony to the chairs-in-the-air-party. I could go on and on about the inspired styling and gorgeous decor of the day (I mean, seriously, just look at the paper design and florals!!) but the real story was in how well, how wholly, how sweetly Kate & Josh’s families blended and became one in joy, best wishes and love for their children. I imagine that every parent dreams of their child finding a solid partner in life, but imagine how sweet it is when you know your child has found their soul mate? Cheers to true love; Cheers to Kate & Josh!

Melissa & Benji | Discovery World Wedding in May

It is no surprise that we pretty much love very wedding we photograph. The people, the stories, the style – every wedding truly is different but each one has so much to offer the eyes and the heart. Melissa & Benji’s wedding was “normal” in that regard but it was extraordinary in its capacity to expand our appreciation in every category. We loved the black tie elegance of the day paired with colorful, happy flowers in classic bundles. The venues were bright and cheerful, perfectly set to show off Milwaukee on a late spring wedding day. The families were giddy with joy and easy to smile, totally and completely immersed in the traditions of their faith and the traditions of their families, each one coming together to celebrate Melissa & Benji’s union. And then there was Melissa and her man Benji. I have never seen two better suited people, uncompromising in their dedication to one another’s happiness. It was something to behold, to cheer on, to dance for, to revere.
