To hear the details of their wedding next year one might assume that Laura & Kyle are purely city people (they’ll celebrate on the lakefront at The War Memorial) but chat with them for just a few minutes and sweet, woodsy details about their life emerge. She’s been riding horses forever and he proposed at Peninsula State Park in lovely Door County. They live within walking distance of one of their favorite parks and spend oodles of time there walking their incredibly well-behaved chocolate lab named Moose. She’s a little boho and he’s a little straight-laced; together they are the perfect combination of city and country, dreams and duty, happiness and love. And these images are all about those things: one year to the day until they’ll tie the knot we met at their park and played with Moose, explored the riverbank and greeted some frogs; they moseyed and I photographed them in their element which is, more or less, in each other’s arms.
