Sadie at 1 Year | Wisconsin Family Photography at the Lake

Miss Sadie is a cuddler, an adorable, fragile little human that is so loved it almost hurts to think about it. She is also something of a miracle. She was born with 10 little fingers and 10 little toes (as my favorite Mem Fox children’s book goes) which is in itself a miracle, but this little girl was born way too early due to a heart issue that required surgery (surgeries?) and an extended NICU stay. She was cried over and prayed over more in her first months of life than perhaps most humans are in their whole life span. But today, in the weeks after her first birthday it is time to write another story about her. It is time to dream of crawling and walking, talking and running, playing and laughing, blowing kisses and snuggling with mamma. It is time to grow up and live and be. Happy Birthday Sadie. We are all so glad you are here.
