Lisa & Nick’s deliciously cool fall engagement session post kicks off what will be quite a series of posts – all shot in October and November when the Wisconsin and Illinois leaves provided a warm and cozy backdrop for people in love. I’m excited to share the next 15 (!) posts with my readers as I think this was my best fall yet – full of love and leaves, laughter and light hearted photography. For this session, Lisa & Nick traveled hours up from their house in southern Illinois where they are working and finishing school to tie up some wedding loose-ends. They stayed a few nights at the Pfister where they’ll tie the knot next year and they skipped about town with me to capture these shots. Lisa was nervous and Nick said he didn’t know what to do, but these photographs tell another story – a story of two people excited to spend the rest of their lives with one another, starting with just one day not working or studying or traveling, but rather just hanging out together in the city.
