Ali & Quan | Chicago Wedding at Cafe Brauer

In writing this blog post for Ali & Quan I keep trying to come up with a more solid way to describe their wedding day but the word that keeps rising to the top of my mind is magical. Ali & Quan hosted their wedding on March 2nd in Chicago, not a day known for sunshine and perfect weather, and yet, that is exactly what they experienced. From the rooftop of their city hotel to the colonnade of the Lyric Opera and onto Lincoln Park, every spot they graced with their presence shown just a little brighter, sparkled a little harder and generally showed off Chicago as a magical city of light, love and clear blue water & skies. Their ceremony was touching and personal, a perfect way to invite family and friends to be forever a part of their love story and really is there any better way than a floral chandelier to accent the historic grace and beauty of Lincoln Park’s Cafe Brauer? In the end, the toasts were emotional, the party was epic and the couple at the center of it all deserved every magical moment. So grab a glass of bubbly and take a deep breath because this one will have you believing that magic really does exist ~

Olivia & Jack | Marquette’s Gesu Wedding & Discovery World Reception

We are celebrating National Marquette Day this week by looking back at our gorgeous Marquette Alumni brides & grooms from just one wedding season and there is so much to fawn over. This is Couple #3 and you just have to revisit their sunny, love-filled and perfectly styled day. They Are Marquette and We Are In Love!

If you follow our studio in any way you know that we spend a significant number of summer weekend days at Discovery World. Our clean and crisp but romantic & honest style just seems to be a great fit for couples who want a wedding that is called “classic” by their stylist, “fun” by their friends, and “joyful” by their wedding photographer. Olivia & Jack absolutely fit that bill to a T but let me add a few more details to describe them. They are playful and adorable together, a couple that is supremely confident in their love for one another, in the love they share, in the life they plan to build. They have big love for their alma mater, the lake, their friendships and they 100% adore their families. In the midst of their classic, fun & joyful wedding they were totally aware of how special their day was – of how special their story is. So grab a glass of bubbly (or the hand of your favorite person) and settle in for this post all about Olivia & Jack’s perfect day. It is one to be savored ~

Marnee & Brett | Marquette’s Gesu Church Wedding and MAM Wedding Reception

milwaukee art museum summer weddingWe love National Marquette Day and we are so lucky to have so many Marquette Alumni among our brides and grooms. This week we are revisiting our favorite recent Marquette weddings so put on some Blue & Gold and let’s celebrate some Marquette Love Stories.

Marnee & Brett celebrated their wedding on a gorgeous August day at two of Milwaukee’s most beloved sites that are also their favorite places to be together. This Marquette Love Story meant that they had long dreamed of saying I Do at Church of the Gesu, but celebrating at the lakefront and under the soaring Calatrava-designed wings of the Milwaukee Art Museum made the day a literal dream come true. In shades of blue and surrounded by joy, friendship and family they experienced a day and night of pure wonder. We loved how Marnee’s family incorporated sacred cultural traditions into their wedding mass and how Brett’s best men shared their duties and laughter with Brett all day. Marnee’s bridesmaids were over the moon happy for their sweet friend and every guest felt honored & treasured to be a part of the day that Marnee & Brett became a family. Cheers to Love and Cheers to Marnee & Brett!
