Mackenzie & Ryan were married on a July Saturday in Milwaukee, a city that showed up and showed out for the two of them. Even before the most beautiful sunset over the lake I might have ever seen, the sun kissed them as they walked into St Hedwigs for their ceremony mass. Father Tim married them with candor and good humor and the sun followed them from Hedwig’s steps to the Lake Michigan harbor jetty by Discovery World. There they were feted in style with sweet toasts and “elevated” family inductions like a shoulder ride dance to “That’s Amore.” It was a truly inspiring day of young love made strong by the promise of devotion, tradition and faith.

Victoria & Will live in Madison but they have deep and growing ties to Milwaukee where they are planning a city soiree next year. They were engaged on the century old grounds of Lake Park and will say I do with Lake Michigan as the ultimate backdrop, then they’ll celebrate at another historic Milwaukee property that lords over Michigan Street with turn of the (last) century grandeur. So for their engagement session it only made sense to get a little city skyline in, to enjoy a glass a champagne, to simply revel in the sweetness of being engaged for an evening. Victoria & Will – what a pleasure to get to know you while meandering the beautiful streets, bridges and parks of Milwaukee. See you in 2027!
