Katie & Alex’s wedding day was a S T U N N E R. Every space they moved through looked like a movie set but felt like a real celebration. They mixed classically bridal elements with modern couture details to recall an Old World elegance but somehow still pulled off a vibe that felt modern AND relevant. There was greenery and lace, lakefront and architecture, and in the heart of it all two souls deeply in love. The day was unhurried, full of friendship and hugs, and simply gorgeous. Full Stop. The pictures really do speak for themselves so I feel like I just need to get out of the way and let you look your fill. Take a breath and get ready: this one deserves a slow scroll and a fountain of oohs and ahhhs.

The Details ~

Heather & Chris were married at one of their favorite places on the planet and they made the most of each and every moment over the weekend of their destination nuptials. Their rehearsal dinner & welcome party was celebrated in the courtyard of the American Club, an old world & elegant start to the weekend. On Saturday they switched up the vibe and invited their friends and family to enjoy the wind swept romantic moors of Whistling Straits. They hosted beautifully but they also included personal touches that made the weekend feel like “theirs.” We loved that Chris’s ring was inset with barrel wood from Heather’s favorite Whiskey (Blanton’s in case you are wondering!) We loved the customized boots and the golf tee place cards. We loved their friends and their laughter, their tears and their dancing dips. We loved their dueling piano dance party and most of all: we loved witnessing the moment Heather & Chris became a family. Cheers to Heather & Chris!
