Emma & David | The Starling Milwaukee Riverwalk Wedding

Emma & David’s sun-filled wedding day was a sweet affair, full of friends and fun, the kind of day that sparkles in the memory. Emma dressed at her family home and met up with her soon-to-be-husband at the spot where he proposed. They exchanged private wedding vows and fought back tears. Surrounded by gorgeous leafy landscapes they walked and talked and set the stage for their perfect day. Saint Seb’s hosted their wedding mass and the sun just didn’t stop, perfectly illuminating their portrait time and encouraging all their guests to make the most of a Summer Saturday on Milwaukee’s Riverwalk. Our favorite part of this day was how natural and kind Emma & David were together, happy to play with friends, loving to family and totally excited to celebrate their official beginning as a family themselves. They cried, they showed off their personalities and oh yes, they danced. A lot. Usually I like to say Cheers! to a couple on their wedding blog post but this day deserves something a bit more sassy and totally appropriate. So, friends: Pinky Up!

Katie & Mike | St James 1868 Summer Wedding

Katie & Mike are quiet types, or at the very least they are not the-center-of-attention kind of people. But in their quiet, thoughtful way these two sure know how to plan a party. Katie’s beaded dress and Mike’s dapper tuxedo set the tone for an elegant wedding that felt classic and elevated but never stuffy. The St James 1868 was the perfect venue for them to host their friends & family in an intimate setting that was both traditional and totally modern. Their bridal party was made of friends and family, too, and they took the time to enjoy those wonderful humans all weekend. They especially valued their wedding party on the wedding day as Mike’s brother’s absence was keen, but his eternal presence and never ending love nearly palpable. They kept the day’s activities to a small footprint, getting ready close to the venue and and only venturing as far as the 1800’s era library across the street, but with a world class air show going on above who needs to travel far? So grab a glass of bubbly and get ready to drink in some sweet love. Cheers to Katie & Mike!

Annalise & Colin | Milwaukee Art Museum & Marquette’s Gesu Wedding

It would be exceptionally easy just to talk about beauty and style for Annalise & Colin’s wedding day post, but that would be lazy because the real story of their day is all about things we care way more about: kindness, joy, friendship, family, and So.Much.Love. The world legitimately seemed to smile down on these two from the start of the day: Perfect weather, a happy and on point bridal party, parents just thrilled to join their families together and if that wasn’t enough, Dwyane Wade, world’s nicest guy, wandered by the groomsmen pre-ceremony and cheerfully jumped into some photos. After their Gesu’ mass they practically floated through the day, buoyed by confetti, the perfect Taylor Swift soundtrack, Spotted Cow, and some seriously great toasts. It was THE perfect way to spend a summer Friday and oh yes, it was crazy beautiful and stylish, too.
